Our Story
our beginning
Our Maui story began, 22 years ago, on Kahekili (aka airport) beach. We promised to love, honor and to someday move to Maui full-time.
While we we’re both raised in Oregon, Greg was born on Oahu and had lived on Maui for a while before we started dating, so he’s always had a connection to the islands – and all it took for Shauna was to smell the air and see the whales along the Pali highway on her first visit to make her fall in love with Maui (she was already in love with Greg).

Throughout our marriage there’ve been many reminders that we need to LIVE LIFE NOW. As soon as we could, we bought a condo in Kihei, where we spent as much time as we could. Eight years after buying our condo, we knew we needed to make the leap to find our forever island home. Within six months, we sold our Kihei condo, our Oregon house, and bought a farm in Launiupoko. Within a few months we packed up our Bay Area rental and moved to the island. Shauna was able to continue her 20 year career at a Fortune 500 company from our lanai with the most awesome view of the ocean. Greg had recently retired from a long, successful career in selling powersports, so he went to work full time getting our little piece of paradise in shape. We now share our farm life with our four beloved dog kids – Kula, Kalani, Hana, and Malea.
our passion
Our journey came full circle when we decided to open Westside Concierge. We met at work and had always dreamed of doing something professionally together that we were both passionate about. When looking for ideas, we vividly remembered the anxiety of leaving the farm to go back to the mainland before we lived here full time. We had never experienced such a huge sense of stress and anxiety when we left our condo because we knew there was someone keeping an eye on our property and only a phone call away if we needed something done. We wanted peace of mind, we needed someone we could trust—In that moment, the seed was planted to open a concierge services business. Understanding the challenges that owning a home on-island but not living here full-time brings gives us unique insight into what is needed to ensure that you don’t ever have to worry!
